AST Blog: Dangerously cold temperatures are on the way
An intense Arctic blast is set to grip Arkansas towards the middle part of the week, bringing dangerously cold temperatures and extended freezing conditions across the state.

Air temperatures will plummet into the teens and single digits, with wind chill values making it feel even worse. In northern Arkansas, feels like temperatures could drop as low as -15°F.
This isn't just a quick cold snap—temperatures will stay below freezing over 100 hours, meaning anything that falls Tuesday will stay frozen for a few days. This will put many pipes to the test. Remember the P's. People, pipes, and pets.

We will be tracking this Arctic outbreak closely. Stay tuned to the Arkansas Storm Team for updates as we get closer to this event.
