AST Blog: Light Snowfall Expected Overnight – Possible Travel Impacts

Winter weather is making a comeback tonight as snow chances increase for northwest and northern Arkansas, as well as parts of the Ozarks. As storms exit around 8 p.m., wraparound moisture will bring in snow after midnight for northwest Arkansas, gradually spreading into northern Arkansas by 3 a.m. Sunday.

Travel impacts possible tonight with light snow in the Ozarks after midnight.

While this won’t be a major winter storm, some light accumulations are possible. Northern counties could see up to half an inch of snow, while areas as far south as northern Van Buren and Cleburne counties may get a light dusting. With temperatures dropping, slick spots could develop on roads, so be cautious if you have early Sunday morning travel plans.
