Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: More Heavy Rain Today
We are not done with the heavy rain yet. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected throughout today, adding to our rainfall totals this weekend. Some areas across central and northern Arkansas have picked up between 3 to 8 inches of rain over the past 36 hours, and more is on the way. Because of that, a Flood Watch remains in effect for much of northern, central, and western Arkansas through Monday evening.
Storms today may bring heavy downpours, gusty winds, and even some small hail at times. The severe threat stays low, but localized flooding will continue to be the main concern, especially in areas that are already saturated.
Showers and storms will likely continue into Memorial Day, but breaks in the rain are expected at times. Keep the umbrella nearby.
