Rep. Womack seeking ninth term in US House of Representatives
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Congressman Steve Womack has announced intentions to run for a ninth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to a news release.
Womack has served in the House for Arkansas' third district since 2011 and previously served as mayor of Rogers.
"I’m running for reelection in Congress because I believe now, more than ever, our country needs strong, principled leadership. With President Trump back in the White House, we have a monumental opportunity to get our fiscal house in order, enact a pro-growth agenda, and pass on a stronger, safer America to future generations," Womack said. "Representing my friends and neighbors in Congress has been the honor of my life, and I'm well positioned to fight for the Third District and for Arkansas values in Washington."
Womack currently serves as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD).
He formerly served as Chairman of the House Budget Committee and Chairman of the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Subcommittee on Appropriations.
The election is set for Nov. 3, 2026. Womack is currently the only candidate running for the position.
