Benton man wins $250,000 in Arkansas Scholarship Lottery
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Benton man won a prize after a second-chance play in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
ASL officials said Jeremy Holleman won $250,000 in the May 22 Play It Again second chance drawing from a Triple Cash Payout instant ticket. He recently claimed his prize at the ASL Lottery Claim Center.
Officials said when they called and emailed Holleman about his win, he initially thought it was a scam. It was not until a clerk at his lottery retailer said someone in the area had won that he realized it was real.
He double-checked on the ASL Drawings & Winners web page and saw he was listed as a winner.
“I was shaking,” he told lottery officials. “I didn’t believe it was real! Now, I’m just happy.”
The next Play It Again Second-Chance drawing is scheduled for Sept. 11 for a $250,000 prize. To see a list of eligible games or redeem points for prizes, visit The Club on MyArkansasLottery.com.
Lottery officials added that a $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold for the June 9 drawing. Officials stated the ticket was sold at PDQ North, located at 2403 North Arkansas Avenue in Russellville. The ticket matched four of five numbers and the Powerball.
The Powerball winner has not yet filed a claim with the ASL, officials said.
