Woman facing murder charge after man found dead during welfare check in Garland County
PEARCY, Ark. – Deputies with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a woman who they believe is connected to the death of a man found during a welfare check nearly a year ago.
On Aug.6, 2024, deputies said they were called to a home in the 100 block of Ross Maddox Road in Pearcy to conduct a welfare check. After entering the home, deputies said they found a man dead, leading to a homicide investigation.
Authorities said 60-year-old Kellie Wilhite of Conway was developed as a suspect and later arrested.
Wilhite is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection to the death. She is also facing additional charges of forgery, failure to appear and more out of Saline County.
Wilhite is being held in the Garland County Detention Center.
