RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Russellville High School quiz bowl team took home a national championship title for the second year in a row.
The Russellville Cyclones won the title Sunday in Chicago against Somers High School from New York with a final score of 370 to 100.
The team won the regional competition in New Orleans during Memorial Day weekend to quality for the national tournament.
In 2024, the team won its first national championship title by winning games against Little Rock Central High School, an international team from Dubai and schools from Texas and Pennsylvania.
The Cyclones have also won nine straight state titles.
