Four injured in Little Rock apartment shooting; suspect charged
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Four people were injured following a shooting Saturday night at a downtown apartment complex, leading to the arrest of a 53-year-old suspect.
Officers with the Little Rock Police Department, responding to a domestic disturbance call near the 1800 block of Broadway, heard multiple gunshots around 10:56 p.m. from the Parris Towers apartment complex.
Upon arrival, officers observed several individuals fleeing the area. They then located four gunshot victims, none of whom had life-threatening injuries.
One of the victims identified Larry Turner, 53, as the person who shot them. Turner, who was still at the complex, was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Major Crimes Division for questioning.
Police secured Turner's residence pending the execution of a search warrant.
Detectives and crime scene technicians processed the scene and collected evidence. Surveillance footage reviewed by detectives reportedly confirmed Turner's involvement in the incident.
Following questioning, Turner was charged with two counts of first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons (enhanced). He was then transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility (PCRJ).
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and more details may be released as they become available.
