MM 5.13: Maryland Track & Field wraps up weekend at Big Ten Outdoor Championships

Maryland Track & Field concluded its busy weekend after competing at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
On day one, Kayla Thorpe earned a podium finish in the javelin, launching it 50.82 meters to place third. Meanwhile, Mekhi Abbott secured an eighth place finish in the javelin, throwing it 60.1 meters. Kevin Collins also ran a blazing 20.9 seconds in the 200 meter.
On day two, the Terps continued their success. Jeff Kline placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 18.34 meters. Meanwhile, Eric Albright ran the 800 meter prelims in 1 minute, 49.1 seconds, finishing in sixth place and qualifying for the finals.
On the final day, Maryland closed out the Big Ten Championships with some impressive showings. Kevin Collins finished in seventh place in the 200 meter with a time of 20.8 seconds and finished in fifth in the 100 meter with a time of 10.29 seconds. Morgan Graham finished in sixth in the discus finals with a toss of 52.22 meters.
