Arkansas Scholarship Lottery scratch-off players win big across the state
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Three lucky lottery players around Arkansas won $450,000 collectively after playing scratch-off tickets.
A resident from Grant County won $200,000 on a $10 Ultimate Riches instant game. The player purchased the winning ticket at One Stop Fuel on Highway 167 in Sheridan. Lottery officials said his wife was initially skeptical of his winnings, but she came to the realization.
“I just turned and looked at him,” the winner’s wife told lottery officials. “I lost my breath!”
The Grant County player said he plans to start a college fund for his grandchildren with his prize.
Leon S. from Mississippi County also won $200,000 on a $10 Multiplier Bonus instant game. He purchased the winning ticket at PJ Express on South Airbase Highway in Blytheville. Lottery officials said he bought the ticket after receiving encouragement from his wife.
“I was stunned! I really didn’t say anything, just looked at it,” his wife said after he shared the news with her.
Leon told lottery officials he plans to save for his daughter’s college fund with his winnings.
Tanner C. from Washington County won $50,000 on the $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. Tanner bought the winning ticket at Frederick’s One Stop on North Pittman in Prairie Grove.
He encouraged Arkansans to play after learning of his winnings.
“It doesn’t cost a lot, and it may turn into something crazy—like today,” Tanner said.
Tanner said he plans on saving his winnings.
There is one remaining top prize on the Ultimate Riches instant game and the Multiplier Bonus instant game. There are 81 top prizes remaining on the $50,000 Frenzy instant game.
