North Little Rock firefighters battle four vacant house fires on Sunday

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Four vacant homes caught fire in North Little Rock on Sunday, keeping fire crews busy and prompting an investigation by authorities. No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents.

The latest fire was reported around 4 p.m. at 1800 East Second Street, east of Interstate 30.

  • Firefighters at a home on East Second Street
  • A house on Haywood Street that burned
  • A home on Mosley Street that burned
  • Caution tape outside a vacant home on Water Street that burned

Earlier in the day, a vacant house burned in the 200 block of Mosley Street, just west of Highway 70 in the Rose City community. Two other homes also caught fire in Rose City on Sunday morning, one on Haywood Street and another on Water Street.

North Little Rock fire marshals and police are working to determine the causes of the fires and whether they are related.
