Arkansans share what they are thankful for on Thanksgiving Day
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Thanksgiving isn't just about the meal, it's about giving thanks. In downtown Little Rock several people spoke out loud what they were thankful for.
Bobby Miller, lives in Jacksonville.
"I'm thankful just being here and being in America,” he said.
McKenzie Riley said, "I'm thankful for my family and friends."
“I'm thankful for my family and some of them that came to visit us this weekend from Minnesota,” Linda Fose who is hosting family said.
Jayden Davies, Fose's relative, said, "I'm thankful for my family and letting me come down here."
Joseph Williams was visiting Little Rock from Dallas. "I'm thankful for everybody that's in this world today,” he said. “Thank God for giving me the opportunity to come chill with my family and enjoy everybody. Just have a good time."
Simarcus Pearson said, "I'm thankful to be here. Just everyday life today. You know we have so many people that has lost their life, parents and everything. So, to be able to be here today to be thankful and just reflect on our loved ones that left before us and try to live life that God would be proud of."
Josh Strobel said he is thankful for friends, family and good food.
“I'm thankful for my friends and family,” Strobel said. “You know able to get some good food on a day like this and all year round. For the safety of the myself and people around me, and the opportunity we have to live in this great country."
Dan Woodring said, "I'm thankful for people being alive and my kids. I'm still here and laughing."
"I'm thankful to be alive on this day,” Curtis Edmond said. “I thank God for it. Thank God for my family, and friends, and good health."
Courtney Branscum said, "I'm thankful for family and life and just being here in America."
"I'm thankful for really just everything. I think we're very blessed,” Jessica Riley said. “I mean we live here in Arkansas; we have great running trails. We have great friends and the holidays."
