Cabot police arrest man accused of possessing child porn, drugs
CABOT, Ark. – A Cabot man was arrested Thursday after police said a search of his home revealed child sexual abuse material and illegal narcotics.
Officials with the Cabot Police Department said the investigation into 38-year-old Patrick Tucker Swearingen of England, Arkansas, began with a November 2024 phone tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip led to a department investigation that identified Swearingen, they said.
On Jan. 2, police executed a search warrant on Swearingen’s home, leading to his arrest. Officials said Swearingen is facing charges of three counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, one count of possession of a controlled substance and an absconding charge.
Officials said a cell phone and other items were seized from the home.
Records show Swearingen is currently held in the Lonoke County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond with a Feb. 24 court date.
