Multiple agencies respond to two-seat plane crash at Little Rock airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Multiple agencies including the Little Rock Fire Department were on the scene of a small plane crash at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports suggest that the plane was a two-seater that went down around 1 p.m. about a mile northeast of the terminal.

Officials with the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport confirmed that the plan was a single-engine Cirrus SR 22 and the pilot was the only person on board.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene, but their name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the incident on site Monday.
