Federal officials said the arraignments surround the arrests of several persons from the Houston, Texas, area. The federal cases will be tried in the Eastern District of Arkansas.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Arkansas, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Marshals Service, the Arkansas State Police, and other Arkansas local law enforcement partners are participating in the conference.

Representatives of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Harris County Sheriff’s Department, and Houston Police Department will also be present.

In December, the DEA and other agencies announced the arrest of 18 men from Houston connected to a series of Arkansas pharmacy burglaries.
