Little Rock Zoo to remain closed on Monday due to snowstorm

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Due to the effects of the snowstorm that hit central Arkansas last week, the Little Rock Zoo announced that it will remain closed on Monday.

On Wednesday Dec. 8 prior to the arrival of the snow, zoo officials said that it would be closed until Saturday. On Saturday, zoo officials announced it would also be closed on Sunday.

Zoo officials said that the temporary closure was taken out of an abundance of caution for staff, guests and animals.

“As safety is our top priority, our staff will continue to evaluate Zoo grounds,” officials said. “The Zoo will reopen when paths are safe for guests to use. We anticipate reopening soon.”
