Arkansas State Police troopers seize 136 pounds of marijuana in Pulaski County traffic stop

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Arkansas State Police said state troopers seized more than 130 pounds of illegal marijuana during a Pulaski County traffic stop.

According to ASP officials, state troopers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 on Thursday, Oct. 3 around 9:38 p.m.

After searching the vehicle, special agents said they found five large trash bags filled with approximately 136 pounds of illegal marijuana. ASP officials said the drugs were individually sealed in vacuum-sealed packages.

State troopers said the driver, 34-year-old Hui Zhang, was arrested and taken into custody. ASP officials said Zhang told investigators she was traveling from Oklahoma to South Carolina.

She was transported to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility, special agents said.

ASP officials said Zhang is facing charges of possession with the purpose to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of property.
